It’s one thing to say that you don’t like New England Patriots QB Tom Brady, as Jets CB Antonio Cromartie did last year before the Jets playoff vicotry in Foxboro;  it’s another to challenge him.

On Thursday, Cromartie did just that, in daring Brady to throw to his side. “I hope I’m a target this game,” Cromartie said, per the Associated Press.  “I want to be a target every game.”

“Never backing down,” Cromartie said. “I’m not going to change how I feel about Tom Brady and what I said last year, but I respect him, yes. He’s a guy that has three Super Bowl rings, but other than that when we’re on the football field I don’t really give a damn.”

When asked if he wanted to respond, Brady declined.  “No, I don’t,” Brady said.

At that point, he ended his news conference at the podium.

“I really don’t care what he says,” Brady said. “Thanks, guys.”
