Jets Cromartie has bruised lungs

As if things couldn’t get worse for Antonio Cromartie, they have.

The New York Jets CB, after committing four penalties and losing a fumble on a kickoff which resulted in an Oakland Raiders TD, left yesterdays 34-24 Jets loss in the 4th quarter with a rib injury.

According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, it is actually a bruised lung.  Cromartie went to an Oakland-area medical center, but returned to the team.

His status for next week’s game at Baltimore is uncertain.
