When you win, it’s all roses; When you lose, everyone’s a critic.

Take former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Drew Pearson for instance.  In talking about the Cowboys season opening loss to the New York Jets, Pearson didn’t hold back when asked to assess his feeling on Cowboys WR Dez Bryant.

Interviewed on the “Ben and Skin Show” on 103.3 FM in Dallas, Pearson let it rip.

“You saw what happened in the fourth quarter,” Pearson said on the radio show. “We had wide receivers that couldn’t finish the game. Come on! Jeez!

“The first quarter was spectacular. Great job … but now we need you in the fourth quarter and you can’t even run? You catch three passes in the first quarter and then you get targeted five times after that and you don’t make any catches?

“Let’s not be so high on this guy who hasn’t really done anything. He missed four games last season, he comes in this game and he can’t finish it out.”

To give Bryant some credit, after bringing in three catches for 71 yards and a touchdown, he appeared to be slowed down by a quad injury.  Whatever Pearson thinks, Bryant definitely put a scare into the Jets fans when he was out there.
