You’d think that after leading his team to Two straight AFC Championship games, Mark Sanchez would have solidified himself as the Jets franchise.

Still, there were doubters heading into last night’s New York Jets 27-24 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

We are not sure about the doubters this morning.

Make no mistake, the Jets have taken the training wheels off the 3rd year starter and are ready to fly high this season.

Sanchez tied a career high with 44 pass attempts in Sunday night’s victory, leading the way, again, in the 2nd half, making plays all over the field. His 335 passing yards was 1 shy of a career high.  He also threw for 2 TD and had a passer rating of 88.7.

According to ESPN Stats and Information, Sanchez had 13 pass attempts of 15 yards or more in the air, with seven of those going to  newly acquired WR Plaxico Burress.  Sanchez completed three of the seven attempts, including a 26-yard TD to Burress.
