Plaxico Burress still out for Jets
By Marc A. Greenberg

At some point, Plaxico Burress will have to practice again.
The newly acquired New York Jets receiver hasn’t played football in almost three years now. And that continued again this morning.
Burress didn’t take any team reps in practice on Tuesday, and he wasn’t around for Thursday morning’s session either.
While coach Rex Ryan continues to say that he isn’t worried, there has to come a time where the Jets are going to start sweating over the guaranteed deal given to Burress and the lack of big receivers out there right now.
Ryan revealed that Burress’ ankle swelled up on Tuesday, causing the absence. He’s expected to practice Thursday’s afternoon, but who knows at this point.
