Shaun Ellis signs with New England Patriots

It’s usually Rex Ryan who likes to bring in opposing players.

This time, it’s Bill Belichick.

Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that former New York Jets DE Shaun Ellis has signed with the New England Patriots.

In agreeing to a one-year deal at the veteran minimum, the 34 year old will provide the Patriots with experience, knowledge and possibly some revenge in mind.

Having at least 4.5 sacks in every season since 2005, the 12th overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft was huge for the Jets against the Patriots in the playoffs last year with 2 sacks.
