Are the San Diego Chargers interested in Jerricho Cotchery?

Picture former New York Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery in a San Diego Chargers jersey.
Now cringe.
According to ESPN’s John Clayton, Chargers QB Philip Rivers will be pushing management to sign Cotchery as soon as possible. “Now that J. Cotchery is a former Jet, watch for Philip Rivers to push for the Chargers to sign him. They’re lifelong friends.”
Both Rivers and Cotchery played together at North Carolina State and came into the NFL in 2004.
Cotchery broke school records with 200 receptions, and 15 100+ yard games in his career.
At 29, if healthy, Cotchery would put up nice numbers as the Chargers number 2 WR with the pass happy Rivers.
As for the Jets who released Cotchery in anticipation of signing Derrick Mason, it is being reported that three teams are interested in Mason with the Jets apparently coming in at the lowest offer.
