It’s Official: Jets Release Jerricho Cotchery

Per twitter, Rich Cimini of ESPN NY is reporting that the Jets have announced the release of wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery.  Clearly this is an indication that the signing of Derrick Mason is about to follow.

The move is likely due to both injury and his unwillingness to take a pay cut, but Jerricho will be missed for his leadership.
