Giants Rescind Permission for Osi To Seek Trade
By Alan Schechter

Jason La Cantora is reporting this afternoon that the Giants have rescinded their permission to allow disgruntled DE Osi Umenyiora to seek a trade. Earlier it was reported that the Giants had lowered their asking price for Osi. They were receiving no interest when requesting a first round pick as compensation, but several clubs apparently were showing interest in offering a second day draft pick, round 2 or 3.
Osi is upset over his contract, which is slated to play him $7.1 million in base salary of the next 2 years combined.
