The New York Jets confirmed what we always knew about GM Mike Tannenbaum:  He’s always looking for deals.

While the NFL Network reported that the Jets were shopping veteran wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery, who is recovering from offseason back surgery, the team placed him on the physically unable to perform list.

“Trades are always a possibility. Will anything happen? I’m not sure,”  Tannenbaum said. “I wouldn’t comment on a specific player. I would expect more  transactions between now and the [season-opening] Cowboys game.”
