Training Camp Schedule Begins

Courtesy of www.newyorkjets.com, here is the latest info on the opening of training camp, and the beginning of open practices.

The team will report on Sunday, July 31st, and hit the practice field for the first time the following day.  The first practice open to the public will take place on August 2nd.  I will keep the site informed of the practice schedule as it becomes available, but feel free to check out the Jets website as well.

Due to the lockout, 2011 will mark the first time the Jets have hosted their entire training camp at their team headquarters in NJ.

The team will return to their former home of Hofstra University on Long Island for open practice on Thursday, August 25th.

Even though the practices will be open, from time to time they are cancelled or closed to the public due to inclement weather.  I will keep the site posted as quickly as possible throughout the schedule, but please contact the team fan line at (973) 549-4844 , or the team website as well.  You can RSVP to specific practices on facebook at www.facebook.com/jets.

Parking will be available across the street from the facility within walking distance of the practice, and shuttle buses will be available as well.
