NFL lockout is over: Jets back to work

The New York Jets will report to camp on July 31. Because the Jets are one of the final two teams to open the preseason (Jets play the Houston Texans on August 15), they and the Texans will be the last teams to report with all others reporting as soon as tomorrow.
Thanks to Rich Cimini of ESPN New York for the following schedule:
Monday, July 25 — Teams can sign their own free agents and they can begin talking to unrestricted free agents. Teams also can begin talking trades. Any trade made would not become official until Saturday.
Tuesday, July 26 — Teams can begin signing unrestricted free agents at noon. Those contracts would not take effect until Aug. 2.
Wednesday, July 27 — Ten of the NFL’s 32 teams will report to their facilities.
Thursday, July 28 — The next 10 teams report.
Friday, July 29 — The next 10.
Sunday, July 31 — Jets and Texans become the final two teams to report to their facilities.
Tuesday, Aug. 2 — The 2011 league year officially begins (4 p.m.).
