Meadowlands to be renamed shortly

Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com is reporting that the New York Jets and New York Giants are thisclose to finding a corporate sponsor for the naming rights to the New Meadowlands.

Opening the stadium last season, no agreement was reached with any company, but with the award of the 2014 Super Bowl, expect some corporation to step up.

Daniel Kaplan of SportsBusiness Journal reports that a new name could be applied to the New Meadowlands Stadium before the start of the 2011 season.
