The New York Jets have a WR controversy.  Too many of them.

Jets WR Braylon Edwards, a free agent along with Santonio Holmes and Brad Smith arrived at “Jets West” camp on Wednesday with thoughts of returning to the team dancing in his head.

In speaking to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, Edwards even hinted that he would take a discount to return to the team.  A discount?  Did an NFL player really go there?

“It depends on the discount. I’m not asking for the moon. If it’s close, let’s do it,” Edwards told Mehta.

As for the potential problem of having all three WRs, Edwards said it wouldn’t be a problem for him. “Whose ego will be able to drop their guard to make it work,” Edwards asked Jenny Vrentas of the Newark Star-Ledger.  “My ego, I’m not clashing.”

Edwards believes the Jets want him back.

“That never was in question. Now it becomes a matter of how much do you want me back?” Edwards asked.
