With the NFL Draft a week away, SI.com writer Peter King submitted his annual mock draft for readers.  Currently sitting at Number 30, and with obvious needs for a pass rusher, King predicts the New York Jets will select Muhammad Wilkerson, DL out of Temple.

Wilkerson, 6-4, 315 lbs., ran a 4.96 in the 40.  Pretty impressive.  He also led the Temple Owls in tackles for loss, sacks, and quarterback hurries last season, and was a second straight first-team All-MAC pick.

CBS Sports’ Rob Rang as well as NFL Network’s Bucky Brooks have Wilkerson listed as the 25th best player in the draft, with Rang calling him “the best defensive lineman no one seems to be talking about…yet”

With Wilkerson coming out of the MAC, we can see why he’s gone unnoticed.  Let’s see if the Jets agree with King on Draft day.
