Jets to replace kicker Folk?
By Marc A. Greenberg

In anticipation for the possibility that free agent kicker Nick Folk will not be back in 2011, the New York Jets have signed journeyman Nick Novak.
Novak, 29, has been out of the NFL since 2008 and has appeared in regular season games with the Washington Redskins, Arizona Cardinals and San Diego Chargers. He spent last season with the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League where he was named the league’s special teams MVP.
Folk was hot and cold for the Jets this season. Getting off to a great start, Folk went into a funk in November and was in danger of losing his job. He made 30 of 39 field goals.
