Titans and Fisher part ways

Having declared earlier this month that Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher would return for the 2011 season, owner Bud Adams has apparently changed his tune.
The Titans have now confirmed that they and Fisher are parting ways.
Fisher is the league’s longest-tenured head coach, having gotten the job in 1994 when the franchise was still the Houston Oilers.
Fisher had a record of 142-120 in the regular season and 5-6 in the playoffs.
“The Tennessee Titans and Jeff Fisher have agreed to part ways and Fisher will no longer be the head coach of the team,” the team announced Thursday evening.
