Shaun Ellis of the New York Jets sat out of practice on Friday with a knee injury, according to coach Rex Ryan. He is officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s AFC Championship game in Pittsburgh.

Ryan said Ellis – and all of the other injured Jets – are going to play on Sunday.

“He’s going to play, they’re playing, OK?” Ryan said. “That’s pretty much it.”

Ellis was huge in the Jets 28-21 divisional win over New England last Sunday coming up with 2 sacks.

To add more verification that this upcoming game will be won and lost in the trenches, the Jets signed defensive tackle Martin Tevaseu to the active roster and waived cornerback Isaiah Trufant.

Tevasu was on the practice squad and will be available should Ellis miss any time.
