Revis to guard Hines Ward?

WR Mike Wallace of the Pittsburgh Steelers had 60 catches for 1257 yards this season and 10 TDs.
Against the New York Jets in Week 15, and CB Antonio Cromartie, he collected 7 catches for 102 yards.
Logic would say that Jets CB Darrelle Revis would get the Wallace assignment this time around.
Nope. Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reports that the Jets are practicing for Revis covering Hines Ward (59 catches for 755 yards)with Cromartie staying on Wallace.
We know what Jets fans are thinking about this. But what is Ward thinking?
“Can he be beaten? Yeah, he can be beaten,” Ward said of Revis. “But at the same time he’s one of those guys you don’t want to mess with. If you make a mistake he’s a game-changer. A lot of quarterbacks just stay a away from him. So as a wide receiver you can get frustrated, because you’re not even getting looked at when he’s covering you.”
Interesting call here. Wallace is clearly the Steelers deep threat with Ward being a safety net for Ben Roethlisberger on third downs.
With Cromartie’s speed, the Jets are obviously hoping to contain the deep passes to Wallace and also prevent Ward from getting crucial first downs.
With Heath Miller back in the lineup, the TE could be a major factor come Sunday.
