Rex uses AFC Trophy as motivation

New York Jets coach Rex Ryan has some more motivation for his players in preparation for the teams meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday; the AFC Championship trophy.

“He put up a big picture of the AFC (Championship) trophy, he said, ‘Guys, we’re gonna do this, we’re gonna win this, and this trophy’s gonna be here forever,'” Matt Slauson said. “When you come back and bring your kids here, you’ll be able to show them that, and say, ‘I won that.'”

“Oh, everybody was stoked,” Slauson said. “And he also said, ‘Next week, we come in, we’ll be fitted for AFC rings, it’ll be awesome,’ and everybody was just stoked.”
