Jets Defense figures out Manning in victory
By Marc A. Greenberg

The New York Jets remember last seasons AFC Championship Game in which Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning shredded the Jets Defense and exposed its blitzing schemes all game.
Last night, it was a different story. Despite the Jets all week claiming their defensive schemes wouldn’t change from what it knows best, the Jets changed. Big time. They dressed 10 DBs, and waiting for Manning….and waited.
According to ESPN Stats and Information, the Jets rushed four or fewer players on 85.2 percent of Manning’s pass attempts, in holding him to one touchdown and three field goals in the Jets 17-16 victory.
“I’m a stubborn guy, but I’m not that stubborn,” Ryan said. “We weren’t going to come in here and take another butt-kicking.”
