Vince Young will not return to Titans

Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams has announced that QB Vince Young will not be on the team’s roster next season.
“Today, I informed our general manager Mike Reinfeldt to move forward with plans to begin the process of identifying the next quarterback for our franchise,” Adams said.
“I want to offer my personal thanks to Vince for all of his positive contributions to the club. These kinds of decisions are never easy and this is especially true for this particular player. I certainly wish that things would have worked out better, but I think it is best for the franchise that we move on at this point.”
Young will either be released or traded.
Young, the third overall pick in 2006, spend five years in Nashville.
Adams did not clarify the status of Head coach Jeff Fisher, and said he is continuing to evaluate the status of his coaching staff. Fisher, the Titans’ coach since 1994, is the NFL’s longest-tenured head coach.
