Danny Woodhead out with concussion

New England Patriots RB Danny Woodhead sustained a concussion in the first quarter of yesterday’s 38-7 win over the Miami Dolphins.
Woodhead took a direct snap on the Patriots’ first possession for 19 yards. On their next possession, he fumbled the ball after being hit by Kendall Langford for no gain. It appeared that the hit by Langford caused the concussion.
Woodhead would next be seen on the bench being asked questions by the training staff, who then took his helmet away.
There is no word as to when Woodhead will be cleared to play. With a first round BYE, he has at least 2 weeks to rest.
This is the second straight year in which Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick refused to rest all starters for the teams final game, only to see one go down with an injury. Last season, it was WR Wes Welker who suffered a gruesome torn ACL and MCL against the Houston Texans.
