49ers fire Singletary

The San Francisco 49ers have fired coach Mike Singletary with 1 game remaining in the season.

Receiving the job in 2008, after Mike Nolan was fired, Singletary’s job was in jeopardy for the past month as the niners fought for a playoff spot. despite being 5-9.

After the 49ers lost to the Rams on Sunday,  and eliminating any playoff hopes, the ax fell.

Jim Tomsula takes over as interim head coach.
