Smith suffers possible concussion

To make the New York Jets 10-6 loss to the Miami Dolphins worse, word out of Jets camp is that safety Eric Smith suffered a possible concussion in the third quarter of Sunday’s loss.

With a history of concussions (2 in 2008) the Jets may be without Smith for a bit. He appeared to get hurt on a kickoff making the tackle or on a tackle of Miami’s TE Fasano.

With Jim Leonhard and James Ihedigho already out, the Jets may be scrambling for Pittsburgh and Ben Roethlisberger next week.
