Buffalo Bills Shawne Merriman is expected to miss a third straight week of practice, and there are concerns of whether the former Chargers LB will ever suit up for the Bills.

The injury occurred in Merriman’s first practice with the Bills, a week after being claimed off waivers from San Diego.

The Bills were hoping that Merriman could come in and be a big boost to their non-existent pass rush but he injured his Achilles’ tendon 10 minutes into his first practice and has been unavailable ever since.

Merriman is being paid the remaining $1.7 million on his 2010 contract and will then become a free agent.

At one time he was considered one of the top pass rushers in the league, but ever since he was suspended for PED’s, his performance has dropped and he has been riddled with injuries.
