Sanchez Injury Update

Mark Sanchez suffered a knee injury in the New York Jets game against the Cleveland Browns after being sacked by defensive back Mike Adams.
Sanchez was seen limping on the field, and backup quarterback Mark Brunell was warming up on the sidelines ready to get in. However, Sanchez finished strong and had an incredible overtime, ending in a TD pass to Santonio Holmes.
Sanchez’s injury will be watched closely this week. A strained calf — if that’s what it is — can be an issue for a quarterback, especially because it’s his plant leg.
UPDATE MONDAY MORNING: Sanchez is saying he is fine, but his right calf was heavily wrapped with ice after the game.
UPDATE MONDAY MORNING: Jerricho Cotchery is having an MRI Monday Morning for his groin. This one looks bad, and Cotchery will almost certainly not play this week against Houston.
