New England Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski experienced tightness in his thigh while warming up before the 34-14 loss to the Cleveland Browns Sunday. By the second quarter, Gostkowski was out of the game, and receiver Wes Welker kicked an extra point and handled kickoffs.
Gostkowski had an MRI yesterday, and while coach Bill Belichick said he did not have an update on his status, Comcast SportsNet New England reported Gostkowski will be out at least two weeks and the team is expected to sign Shayne Graham to fill in.
The Patriots have a big game Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Gostkowski was drafted in the fourth round in 2006.
