Favre admits to sending messages

By Marc A. Greenberg

Brett Favre has admitted to sending voice messages, but not photographs to former Jets in-house reporter Jenn Sterger, Fox Sports senior writer Jay Glazer reported Sunday.

Glazer, speaking on the Fox NFL pregame show, said a source informed him that Favre claimed responsibility for the voice messages during his meeting with NFL security on Tuesday.

Favre is being investigated for potentially violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy after allegations that the future Hall of Famer sent Sterger inappropriate messages while he was playing for the team in 2008. Favre currently plays for the Minnesota Vikings.

Meanwhile, the New York Post is reporting that Favre called former Sterger as late as June 2009. Per the report, Favre was in New York to appear on Joe Buck’s since-canceled HBO show.

At the time, Favre was not employed by any NFL team, and her stint with the Jets had ended.

Also, Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports that Allison Torres, a friend of Sterger’s who supposedly saw the alleged photos on Sterger’s phone, has spoken with NFL officials.
