Moss does not get new contract

The Minnesota Vikings, in trading a 2011 Third Round Draft Pick to the New England Patriots for WR Randy Moss, have not entered into a new contract with Moss.
Rumored to be a deal-breaker, a new contract was not agreed to, and Moss will play out the final year of his 3 year, $27 million contract, with the Vikings.
Moss will return to New England on Oct. 31, when the Vikings visit Foxborough to the play Patriots (a game that occurs only once every eight years).
Moss’ final game in a New England uniform on Monday turned out to be his only in more than three years in which he did not catch a pass.
NFL’s Michael Lombardi reports that had New England allowed Moss to leave in free agency next offseason, it would have received a third-round selection in the 2012 draft as compensation.
