– If you are familiar with the Patriots work, Tom Brady has been on the injury report for the past 100 years. Every week he is probable with a right shoulder, so nothing to worry about there.  Welker was listed with a non-injury, which is odd, so stay tuned to that one.

– On the Jets side, with the step up in play by Eric Smith, and with Brodney Pool looking like he will try to backup Smith with that ankle, it appears that this acquisiton, like Mr. Gholston, is headed for bust status.

– With Kris Jenkins out again for the season, the Jets will employ a NT by committee with Sione Pouha and Mike Devito carrying the load.  Pouha had 2 fumple recoveries in Week 1 against the Ravens and helped limit Ray Rice to 43 yards.

– Watch out for Patriots Rookie CB Devin McCourty. Rex Ryan raved about McCourty before the draft and said the Rookie from Rutgers reminded him of a certain Jets CB, Darrelle Revis.
