Keys to the Season

Continuing our Top 10 Keys to the Jets Season:
9. Vernon Gholston
Much has been said of this First Round Bust so far, but give Gholston credit for this: He is still giving it his all. Reports out of camp are that the LB, now DB, has been practicing at full steam and impressing coaches. IF there is a chance, and we do say IF, that Gholston can become a force for the Jets defense, then that will immensely help the D-Line this season.
8. LaDainian Tomlinson
Future hall of famer LT joins a backfield that dominated the NFL last season. And while 50% of that backfield, Thomas Jones has departed, LT will be looked on to complement, not lead, Shonn Greene. That means LT needs to come into this season looking to help the Jets in any way possible. That also means no distractions can be tolerated. If Greene can carry the workload, LT needs to sit back, be patient, and try to make an impact whenever he’s in the game. If LT starts complaining in Week 3 that he isn’t getting the ball enough, the Jets could be in for a headache.
LT = Patience
