Updates from Camp

Two nice suprises out of the first few days of camp:
1. Aside from a nice INT off of a Sanchez pass, Antonio Cromartie provided the defensive hit of camp by leveling LT in the final moments of practice.
2. On the offensive side, FB John Conner has been punishing the defense with his hard blocking.
3. Darrelle Revis is still out. Owner Woody Johnson is alleging reaching out to Revis to try to make a difference. It won’t. Revis wants his money and hearing Rex Ryan say that Revis will be the starter even if he signs the day before the season starts, is not good to hear if you are the Jets.
4. We will see how newly signed CB Kyle Wilson does in camp. For now, Lowery and Cromartie are the CBs, with Wilson as the nickel back. At safety, Brodney Pool, a nice pickup according to Ryan is on one side with Jim Leonhard on the other. Not a bad secondary. Throw Revis in there and the Jets are the real deal.
