The New York Jets have announced the unveiling of the Ring Of Honor; a celebration of Jets past players and coaches to be annually enshrined in the new Meadowlands.

The initial class consists of five players and one coach, each an integral part of Jets history, from the distant, or more recent, past. The group, in alphabetical order, includes Weeb Ewbank, Winston Hill, Joe Klecko, Curtis Martin, Don Maynard and Joe Namath.

The Jets will enshrine that list during a ceremony at halftime of their first exhibition game, against the Giants, on Aug. 16 at 8 p.m. Each inductee was selected by a committee led by Woody Johnson, the team owner.
