On to Cincy

By Marc A. Greenberg

Well that was certainly an ass kicking.

The Jets, with obviously no intention of going silently into the night, destroyed the Bengals last night 37-0 and have officially entered the Playoffs.

Saturday 4:30 in Cincinnati for the rematch.

Couple of quick hits about last night:

1. The Jets running game is really good.

2. Not sure if we can count that fumble by Shonne Greene due to a Bengals penalty on the play. He needs to hold on to that ball.

3. Darrelle Revis should be defensive player of the year. No disrespect to Charles Woodson who ran back an INT for a TD yesterday. (9INTS with 3 TDs this year for Woodson).

4. Are the Bengals nervous about the pounding they took or do they ignore it and chalk it up to not caring about the game?

5. Is Brad Smith the new Leon Washington or what?

6. How much can the Jets rely on the running game next week to win?

7. Jets defense is pretty good when they have confidence. Still can’t get a sack but they bring the pressure.

8. The announcers last night said that Carson Palmer has been booed throughout the season this year. For a team that has just won their division, this could spell trouble next week if the Jets defense repeats what happened last night.
