The Original Titans take aim @ 3-0!!!

The Jets line up for another matchup with Tennessee. The Jets were able to ignite some serious respect from the rest of the league after getting through New England and Tennessee back to back last year, but they aren’t sneaking up on anyone this year. Gang Green will have their work cut out for them in this one.
Mark Sanchez has faced a Houston defense with huge holes and a Patriot defense that is less than impressive. The Titans “weakness” (if you can call it that) is in the secondary. Sanchez will have to make some plays to keep the ball moving. With that said, I’m sure this game will come down to one factor.
Turnovers.
Both these defenses are aggressive and should be the strongest units on the field at all times. The key to this game will be protecting the ball and making the right decisions. The Jets will have to rely on their defense to contain Chris Johnson and force Kerry Collins to beat them. Gang Green is going to be thin on the back end without Lito Sheppard & Donald Strickland, but as long as they create the same pressure as we’ve seen so far, we should be OK.
Here’s the deal. This one comes down to field position. There’s rain in the forecast, and it could get sloppy. A heavy dose of Thomas Jones and Leon Washington is what will get this one done. Let’s hope there’s not a repeat of the Seattle game last year flinging the ball around in the snow. Turnovers change field position which should get it done in what is a pretty even matchup. The Jets have the guys to stand toe-to-toe with the Titans. This is the first top flight defense Sanchez will see, let’s hope Schottenheimer’s on his game.
In the past… this is a loss for the Jets… but there’s a new attitude with these guys… Get ’em Green!!!
