Consistency Forming…

Over the past few weeks we’ve seen Gang Green finally start to focus more on the run game which has lossened up the defense for Favre, who has been exceptionally consistent. This is what we’ve been looking for all year from him and it’s starting to get exciting.
I can’t lie, I’ve been looking at ticket prices for Tampa in February, but I know that I should only be worried about Denver this week. The race for the division and a home playoff game are extremely close and one wrong step could kill this team. The entire AFC East has a fairly “easy” way from here on out and the Jets still have matchups with Denver, Buffalo and Miami at home. They also have two more dreaded trips to the west coast to face San Francisco and Seattle. These have been the Jets achillies heal with two of their 3 losses posted in San Diego and Oakland… ugg…
This Sunday’s game against the Broncos is going to be tough. This is their 3rd straight matchup with a team in first place in their division. The Jets can’t afford to get into a shootout with Jay Cutler and company. The Broncos have been vulnerable against the run all year long and the Jets should stick to their game plan and pound the lethal combination of Jones and Washington. The offensive line has manhandled the Pats and Titans consecutively and should do the same once again this weekend.
Denver can not be overlooked. Thought they come in off an up and down season, the bottom line is they are in first place in their division and will be looking to make a statement. Complacency is not an option for a franchise that hasn’t done anything in my lifetime. Petal to the metal boys…
Final Score: Jets 31 – Broncos 27
