It has all come down to this… it’s the final game of the year. (Cue the cheers)

Now if you’re heading up to Ralph Wilson Stadium (if you can dig out), here’s what you’re going to be facing as far as the weather is concerned for Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, the weather for Sunday in Orchard Park will be A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 26. Chance of precipitation is 40%. And if it’s near 50 percent, then you know that for that neck of the state, it will be a near certainty. (I went to college an hour outside of Buffalo so I understand more than most).

So now the question is, who does the weather favor?

I know that every time the weather is clear I say that the weather isn’t a factor and to be perfectly honest, the weather shouldn’t be a factor here either because these are two north east teams playing in the aftermath of a snow storm. However, snow storms down here and snow storms up in the Buffalo area are two completely different animals. So if it gets bad Saturday, then I’d say advantage Buffalo due to the fact that they are used to playing in multiple feet of snow.

But… if we can all rewind our brains back to 2009 season and the playoff game against the Bengals in Cincinnati; that game was being played with snow falling. And there are bunch of those guys still on this team.

What this signals though is that the Jets need to really rely on Shonn Greene, Bilal Powell, and Joe McKnight in the ground game because this game SCREAMS for ground and pound. And a good run game is a best friend to a young quarterback in Greg McElroy.

But if you’re the Bills, you remember the trouncing that the Jets put on you back on Week 1. And it was a trouncing. Just saying.

Week 16 is upon us and now the dream of the playoffs over were eviscerated Monday so it’s time to play these next couple games with pride on the line. So, what’s the weather going to be Sunday, the day before Christmas Eve at Met Life Stadium?

The National Weather Service said that Sunday afternoon, when the Jets kick off at 1 p.m. it will be Mostly sunny, with a high near 42.

So, who does the weather favor?

I think I’m going to rehash a lot of what I said when San Fran came to town. The good weather makes everything equal but San Diego is flying across country to play the Jets at 1 p.m. rather than at night like the game was originally scheduled for. Usually, if you’re a West Coast team crossing the country to play an east coast team early, then normally the game favors the East Coast team.

But for the Jets, it’s a lot simpler than this. As I said, this is all about pride. They have a shot to finish the season back at .500 after everything they’ve been through. In order for them to do that, they need to come out and play a complete team game and close the home portion of the schedule on a high note; not necessarily saying that they need to replicate the way the opened the season with the beat down of the Bills, but they need to play solid ball.

And let’s see what the young kids got, especially Greg McElroy. The biggest question of the next two games is, what’s the future for the Jets and McElroy can do a lot to make sure that he’s a part of it.

It’s week 15 in the NFL and the Jets are heading sort of south for the winter to get a shot to show a national audience what kind of fighters they are.

So what’s the weather going to be? According to the National Weather Service: Monday will be A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36.

Who does the weather favor? With next to no chance for rain… it makes things all even. HOWEVER, whenever you go south of Delaware, you are not really used to the sub- 40 degree temperatures. But this is typical for any team who is housed in the northeast. This weather is typical northeast football and is real suited for the Jets.

Their ground game has really gotten off the ground (pun intended) and needs to be a really good friend to Mark Sanchez. The other thing is the two guys photographed. Dustin Keller should be ready to go on Monday and the return of Braylon Edwards should be a big help to their QB. Edwards familiarity with Sanchez will be huge in a game where the Jets might have to throw the ball a little bit more to win this game. Keller just needs to be who he’s always been. If they can find their offense in front of the nation, then this will be a win for Gang Green (Sorry Rockland’s own Jason McCourty and former Rutgers standout Kenny Britt)

Now just stop Chris Johnson.
