This time they will be on the road against Chad Henne of the Jaguars, formerly of the Dolphins.

According to the National Weather Service (www.weather.gov) the weather down in Jacksonville Sunday will be partly sunny, with a high near 78.

So, by now, you know the point in the program; who does the weather favor? Clear and near perfect conditions will make the game a wash in that question.

For a lot of these games, fortune will favor the home team. But much of the success of this game will come down to what Jets team comes to play.

And this game will be huge in a lot of eyes. First off, will the Jets of last week show up? Will the Jets offense come out and look like the Buffalo or Indy games? Or will be the offense that showed up against Miami and for the most part, last night.

If the anemic team shows up again, then someone higher up will be examining the flame under their rear end because their job is on the line (ie Rex Ryan, Mike Tannenbaum). And I think Mark Sanchez is playing for his job as a starter in this league.

But the Jets do have a big thing going for them and that’s their knowledge of Henne. For all the times these two teams played each other while Henne was in Miami.

We have talked at length about the Jets lack of depth at wide receiver. Whether the guys they have are going to pan out or not, remains to be seen. A veteran wouldn’t hurt.

Lee Evans was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars yesterday. The question is, should the Jets take a look?

He is 6’0″, 210 pounds, and only 31 years old. He certainly has gas left in the tank.

Here is some video on Lee from his days in Buffalo:

He had some good years in Buffalo, with his best year being 2006, with 82 catches, 1,292 yards and 8 TDs. He is a good target in the redzone as you can see in the tape.

Over his years in Buffalo (7), he recorded 43 TDs. He was a viable option in the red zone, and an able bodied receiver in general, averaging 53 catches per year.

However, I wouldn’t pay a lot for this guy, turn the page and I will tell you about why.

Woody Johnson, Mark Sanchez, and the rest of the New York Jets have a big season coming up in 2012. They are coming off an 8-8 season, and their first time outside of the playoffs since 2008. Outsiders aren’t expecting a lot, but the organization is expecting big things from itself.

We are taking an early look at the upcoming schedule, and where the biggest games fall. So far:

We have looked at the biggest game in early 2012(click here to read)

and the biggest game of the second quarter of 2012 (click here to read)

Now, I am going to reveal the choice for biggest game in the third quarter of 2012. Actually, for this choice I couldn’t decide between two, so we will talk about both:

WEEK 10: AT SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
AND
WEEK 12: VS NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

Turn the page, and we will talk about each game.
