Heading into the 2017 NFL Draft, here is our Round 1 live tracker to keep up-to-date on everything possible for the New York Jets.

The 2017 NFL Draft is finally upon us! After months of speculation, analysis, and just pondering what exactly the New York Jets will do with their No. 6 overall pick, the time is now to see what will ultimately transpire.

A number of things could happen between now and when this year’s draft finally gets underway but make no mistake about it, it will be one rollercoaster of a ride. Will the Jets trade up? Could they trade down? Will they boldly take another quarterback at No. 6 or use the “best player available” approach on a defensive back?

General manager Mike Maccagnan has a plethora of experience in making the most out of the draft picks in his arsenal. Hopefully, he’ll do his best to bring in a solid draft class that is filled with an instant starter or two as well as players that can be developed for the future.

More from The Jet Press

The Jets might not be all that great this upcoming season but all the draft picks that Maccagnan has made so far in his tenure should hopefully develop nicely in another year or two. It’s looking promising that 2018 and 2019, the Jets will field a competitive roster and hopefully have an established franchise quarterback ready to push the envelope from under center.

No matter what happens, rest assured you’ll be kept in the loop in our Round 1 live tracker below on the Jets. This will be updated by the minute with news, rumors, and anything involving the Jets heading into the first round of tonight’s draft.

We here at The Jet Press will only post tweets/updates from official, verified, and legitimate sources so don’t worry about anything bogus or fake being updated below. If the Jets do indeed end up trading up or down, we’ll let you know in addition to who they ultimately decide to draft.

We also encourage our readers to please follow us on Twitter and Facebook as we’ll be posting updates there as well. From everyone here at The Jet Press, we hope you enjoy tonight’s start of the 2017 NFL Draft!
