When it comes to Super Bowl 50, it’s all about having a great time and throwing an awesome bash for your friends and family. Make sure to not disappoint!

Super Bowl 50 promises to be a great game filled with a ton of pregame activities, an incredible halftime show and hopefully a good game between the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos. One thing is for sure, you can control the entire experience by throwing an awesome bash for your friends and family.

First off, you want to make sure you have a pretty good idea of the amount of people that are coming over. Whether you have an apartment, house or are renting out a room or hall, make sure to get an accurate headcount for the amount of guests that are coming. Add seven more to the final number to account for your guests bringing a mutual friend or the occasional person that shows up out of nowhere.

Once you have your finalized list of guests, make sure to accommodate by having more than enough snacks, food and drinks. I always like to have a bunch of small snacks to start things off with, you know, things like chips, dip, salsa and plain fried chicken wings/tenders with different sauces.

You also want to have at least three different main meals for your guests. I like to go with pizza (get a variety with plain, sausage, pepperoni, etc.), lasagna and steak hero sandwiches. That way, you appeal to different kinds of people all at the same since more likely than not, your guests will find something they’ll enjoy once kickoff arrives and throughout the game.

When it comes for drinks, make sure to also have a variety of beer. Heineken, Sam Adams, Corona and Budweiser tend to go over very well with the majority of guests coming to a Super Bowl party. You also want to stock up on lots of Coca Cola/Pepsi and have a variety of different flavored rums available to mix drinks. Always have a nice supply of Jack Daniels.

I prefer having my guests self serve their drinks but if you have a friend that loves making mixed drinks, by all means set them up at a table and have them make whatever your guests are interested in. Don’t forget to use paper cups/paper plates/paper napkins for everything to avoid that long amount of time cleaning up when you can simply throw everything out easily.

Since the big game starts at around 6:30pm Eastern, you should have your guests start arriving by around 3:00pm Eastern. It gives everyone plenty of time to mingle, get some drinks and early snacks on before the main meals arrive/are ready. Before then, be sure to have popular music on and setup some fun activities for your guests.

Activities like setting up Madden NFL 16 and running a tournament with those that want to play or even setting up a beer pong/NFL trivia table are some great ideas. If you have kids coming, be sure to have some boxed juice drinks available and for their food, chips/pretzels work well to start and have them enjoy pizza since after all, what kid doesn’t love pizza?

Overall, make sure to have conversations with every single one of your guests, have fun and ask who they think will win. If it’s split in the middle between the Panthers or Broncos, you should make a friendly bet with everyone attending. I prefer my method of if you picked the wrong team and lost the bet, you would have to help clean up everything when the bash is over. Not only is this fun but would really make everyone actually watch the entire game so they’re not stuck cleaning up the disaster that awaits!
