2015 NFL Schedule: New York Jets Rivalry Weeks

So the schedule is out. It’s always interesting to take a look at rivalry games. We all look at those games as big. Division games are all huge, and we know the rivalries that the Jets have with the Dolphins and the Patriots. Now, the rivalry with the Bills is going to heat up, for obvious reasons.

How about outside the division? We know the Jets are going to play against the NFC East, and our co-tenants are in that division, so, when do the Jets take on the Giants.

Let’s review, starting with the G-Men:

The Jets take on the Giants in Week 13, December 6 at 1 PM.  The Giants will be considered the home team, but the Jets will have their fair share of fans as well.  It’s an interesting spot in the schedule, as this is right when the push to the playoffs will begin.  If the Jets are close, the game will mean a lot more than just bragging rights in Gotham.

Next, we look at the Dolphins games:

The road game is a lot more “road” than normal.  We have known for a while that the game at the Dolphins will take place Week 4, October 4, 9:30 AM in London.  Not a lot to say here, this spot for the game has been pre-determined for weeks.  The home game will be Week 12, November 29, 1 PM.  That isn’t a surprise, they like to have the division matchups in the latter part of the season.

When do the Jets play the Patriots?

Game one is Week 7, October 25 at 1 PM in New England.  Game two is Week 16, December 27 at 1 PM at MetLife.  I was a little bit surprised that we didn’t see one Patriots game earlier than week 7.  I thought, possibly, they would put the Jets on opening night, with the whole Revis double tampering charge.  But, that was not to be.  It’s a great spot to see the Jets play them in week 16.  MetLife will be charged up, especially if the Jets are near a playoff berth.

Finally, let’s look at the Bills games.  When do we get to see our old pal Rex once again?

Week 10, November 12, 8:25 PM, MetLife Stadium.  Rex Ryan returns to MetLife Stadium to take on the Jets, on the national stage.  Was there ever any doubt about this one?  It was only a matter of which week this one was going to take place.  And the game in Buffalo takes place Week 17, Jan 3, 1 PM.  It’s not as daunting at first look, but could you imagine having to beat Rex Ryan to earn a playoff berth?

How do you guys feel about the Jets schedule?
