So, it’s a new year. Everybody is 0-0, and all teams look at this time of year with excitement. Each team has a chance to win the Super Bowl.
However, the oddsmakers don’t see it that way. Based on past performance, and the look of the team on paper, Las Vegas sets betting odds for each time, indicating the likelihood of the team winning the Super Bowl. The longer the odds, the smaller the believed chance is for the team to win the Super Bowl.
If you want to win some money, take the Jets. According to the odds, the Jets are 66-1 to win it all. That means if you put up $1, you win $66 if the Jets are Super Bowl Champions. The odds are the same for the Browns and the Texans. The only teams with longer odds are the Bills, the Vikings, the Raiders, the Titans, and the Jaguars.
