New York Jets: Where are They Now? Kurt Sohn

Let’s go back to a series we were working on last summer. We find out information on Jets from back in the day, and call it,”Where are They Now?”. Today, we are looking back at a receiver from the eighties, number 87, Kurt Sohn.

Kurt was a life time New Yorker, growing up in Huntington, NY. After graduating from Huntington High School in 1975, he went on to Nassau Community College and Fordham University before joining the New York Jets.

Kurt played for the Gang Green from 1981-1988. His best season as a receiver was 1985, when Sohn posted 39 receptions for 534 yards and four touchdowns. For his career, Kurt caught 79 passes for 1,018 yards and ten scores. He also has 1,164 kickoff return yards to his credit, and 519 punt return yards.

So, what is Kurt doing these days? Well back in 2012, he was inducted into the Nassau Community College sports Hall of Fame. Currently, he is married, living with his wife in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He has three kids with his current wife, Kerri, April and Wendy, and one son with his previous wife.

Number 87, Kurt Sohn.
