Dane Brugler Mock Draft: The New York Jets Select...........

Time to take a look at another mock draft.

Dane Bugler is an analyst from “NFL Draft Scout”. He, along with everyone else, has been working his regular mock draft postings, especially since we have this extra time prior to the draft. The move to May has given all of the experts time to do extra rewrites of their mock drafts, and all of the expert draft analysis they can think of.

Brugler updated his mock draft on Monday. Let’s see who Brugler chose is his most recent draft…..

Most see wide receiver with this pick and I think it’s a strong possibility, but so is cornerback, despite New York drafting Dee Milliner first round last year. Dennard fits the Jets scheme and should be able to start from day one.

Take a look at his full draft by clicking here.

What do we think of this choice? There has been a groundswell lately of a pick like this. A cornerback in round one actually has its fair share of support. It does fill a need, that’s for sure. However, I don’t see it. Especially in this scenario..

Two guys that the Jets are extremely high on have fallen in this scenario.  First is Eric Ebron.  The Jets need playmakers down the field on defense as well as on offense.  We have talked about it time and time again, Ebron is the guy that can fit that bill.  Eric is a big target down the seam, and his presence will improve the team.  I don’t see the Jets passing on him here.

Same with Brandin Cooks.  He’s another guy that the Jets covet at this point.  The Jets won’t pass on both of these guys in the sam draft.
