Report: The Jets Not Jumping into the DeSean Jackson Sweepstakes?

Are the Jets staying out of the DeSean Jackson race? There is a report that the Jets may be doing exactly that, if you believe the source.

Adam Schefter reported that six teams reached out to DeSean Jackson to inquire about the receiver’s services. Another report came out that the Jets were NOT one of those teams.

But, that report came from Manish Mehta. Draw your own conclusions from there.

For what it’s worth, the report is believable. If you think about what Woody Johnson had to say last week, it comes around to make some sense. Remember, Woody talked about having interest for the right price, and if he will fit into the culture of the locker room?

It’s not impossible to think that the Jets may have made a decision of that nature already. So far, John Idzik has had good instincts in the area of who to choose for this team.

So if Manish is right, I will defer to John Idzik and give him the benefit of the doubt.

Yep Mike Goodson is a prime example of the Jets setting the bar high for its players characters! LOL Allegations are simply that…allegations, last time I checked being accused of something is a far cry from being arrested for a crime. I’m not saying Jackson is a choir boy, but if the Jets don’t sign him, I’m not buying the “character issue” alibi. I would love to see Jackson signed, but if he’s too expensive for the Jets front office, then so be it! But don’t hide behind the allegations for an excuse not to sign him.

      That’s fair.

He just reminds me too much of Santonio.
