Report: Jets are Interested in Jacoby Ford

Well, they said that the team was interested in signing another receiver.

This is from Brian Costello, Jets’ beat reporter from the New York Post:

So, Jacoby Ford, huh? That would be an interesting choice, here are his stats going through the year 21013:

Receiving Rushing
Year Age Tm Pos No. G GS Rec Yds Y/R TD Lng R/G Y/G Att Yds TD Lng Y/A Y/G A/G YScm RRTD Fmb
2010 23 OAK KR/WR 12 16 9 25 470 18.8 2 52 1.6 29.4 10 155 2 71 15.5 9.7 0.6 625 4 3
2011 24 OAK wr 12 8 3 19 279 14.7 1 41 2.4 34.9 4 31 0 30 7.8 3.9 0.5 310 1 3
2013 26 OAK 12 14 1 13 99 7.6 0 22 0.9 7.1 5 15 0 4 3.0 1.1 0.4 114 0 4

He may be a young player, but he hasn’t even achieved the success of a guy name Kerley. Jeremy Kerley has had a far more effective career than Jacoby Ford, to date. The Jets must feel that his former position’s coach, Sanjay Lal must feel that he can restart the career of Jacoby.

Hopefully he can, otherwise it’s a waste to even think about it.
