Window to Bring Back Antonio Cromartie Closing, Per Report

Remember we were talking about a possible reunion between the Jets and Antonio Cromartie? Well, if a recent report is true, the reunion is not so possible.

Take a look at this tweet from Kristian Dyer from “the Metro”:

If Kristian is correct, the odds of Antonio Cromartie returning to the New York Jets is very slim.

The question here is, what’s next for the New York Jets? It’s been hard to decipher what John Idzik’s plan for the cornerback position is here. Not that he doesn’t have one, I firmly believe that he does, but it’s the one element that doesn’t seem to be formulating as quickly.

Now Captain Munnerlyn off the table, Alterraun Verner gone, Vontae Davis gone, and Cro likely gone, what’s next? Is it Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie? Someone else we haven’t thought of?

We will find out soon enough.

BYE BYE CRO! THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!! It sad to watch players age, their game decline due to injuries. Cro’s game was always so dependent on his speed to close the distance between a receiver and himself. Cro made the position exciting to watch through his career. I wish him best wherever he lands, but those days have arrived for Cro, loss of a step, the arrival of nagging injuries, the twilight of his career has arrived. The Jets saw the writing on the wall, the cut was a good one for the Jet team.
