New York Jets want to Sign Michael Vick “Quickly”

This one will divide the fan base.

The Jets covet Michael Vick as their number one choice to compete with Geno Smith, per Rich Cimini’s tweet:

So, the Jets are looking to close the deal on Michael Vick. Rich is right, it won’t happen as quickly as they like, as Vick will surely have other teams interested.

The Jets are also still looking at Josh McCown as well, and Josh is scheduled to meet with the team soon.

You know my preference here, very much McCown over Vick, every time, and twice on Sundays. The reasoning to bring in Vick is logical, with the connection to Marty Mornhinweg. But, there will be, in my opinion, too much talk around the backup quarterback, and we have been there before.

How did that work out for us?

Vick makes a lot of sense for us. If Marty is on board with him then let’s do it. He certainly would push Geno and after all that was always a problem with Mark, namely, he never had a legit QB pushing him to get better.

I see your point. I still don’t want him here. Too much drama around him, reminds me of that guy from a couple of years ago that I hate.
