This is potentially bad news for the New York Jets.
The Jets had set a goal to get Austin Howard signed, but that has not happened yet. As such, he is hitting the open market today, and he has received interest, per Brian Costello:

So there is the potential that Austin Howard may be gone. That would be a bad blow to the Jets’ offensive line, that grew together and got better as the season wound down in 2013. Losing their big right tackle would hurt.
As of this post, there is no word on whether the Jets have any contingency plans at the position.
In other news, there is nothing to report at the time of this post on the free agent front. No signings by the Jets have been announced as of yet. Izdik seems, at least initially, to be letting the market set itself before moving forward.
